Working Principle:

Normal Operation
In open position, both flap blades remain fully retracted for free gas flow. During closing, the first flap closes, followed by seal air injection into the intermediate chamber. The second flap closes afterward, ensuring full isolation.
Seal Air Function
Compressed clean air is introduced between the two flaps at slightly higher pressure than the process stream. This prevents any backflow or leakage of process gas downstream.
