Knife Edge Gate Valves
Knife Edge Gate Valves- 1600, 1650, 1660 Series
Knife Edge Gate Valves are compact, heavy-duty isolation valves designed for reliable shut-off in slurry, solid-laden, fibrous, and viscous media. Featuring a full-bore, bi-directional design, these valves deliver excellent flow characteristics, minimal pressure drop, and dependable sealing even under the most demanding service conditions.
The valve is constructed with a one-piece, corrosion-resistant body and a precision stainless-steel knife-edged gate. The sharp knife edge at the bottom of the gate enables it to cut through semi-solids, fibrous pulps, fly ash, chips, and sludge, ensuring smooth closure and tight shut-off. Retainer rings mechanically lock the seats, allowing easy seat replacement during maintenance.
A twin-packing arrangement or packing-less elastomer sleeve design (for slurry types) ensures high operational reliability, zero leakage, and reduced maintenance. The compact construction minimizes installation space, reduces weight, and simplifies operation—making these valves ideal for harsh industrial environments.
